Hi, my name is Nguyễn Thuỳ Dung. I also go by Dung Nguyen or Kate Nguyen. I am currently a Ph.D. student at Tsinghua University, majoring in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. I am passionate about Machine Learning research that solves real-world problems. My research interests focus on Deep Learning applications for Computer Vision, specifically image segmentation and object detection and tracking.

Project: Colonic Polyps Classification with Deep Neural Networks
Studied medical image processing techniques and deep learning methods with Python, PyTorch, and Keras.
Developed image pre-processing methods to denoise and enhance the quality of the endoscopic images of the colonic polyps.
Designed and built a model based on deep neural networks for polyp localization and classification (benign vs. malignant) in endoscopic images, videos, and ultimately in real-time to assist doctors in the endoscopic diagnosis and removal of the malignant polyps.
