I worked as a Senior Software Engineer in the Rummyculture Gateway team, Managing & working on multiple microservices catering to the use-cases like user authentication, user-management, Add-cash, Withdrawal, promotions & user-level configurations customization.
Developed end-to-end backend for a free-cash-game feature, allowing users to win discount credits
(DC). Users can apply DCs to offset a portion of the entry fee in the cash-game. This enhancement
improved user engagement and retention, with 10,000 users playing this variant concurrently
Came up with optimization to prevent load on game services during tournaments. Key optimization
done was to provide a regularly updated cache of games and tournaments data centrally in Redis to
prevent all the instances to regularly poll for it. This brought down the load on game engine service by
100x.
Integrated A/B experimentation SDK into the Da-Vinci service and developed API to enable app-level
experimentation.
Enabled OTP delivery via WhatsApp for secure user authentication during sign-up and login in the
Rummyculture app.
Revamped the referral link generation process to ensure consistent and configurable deep-link
creation.
Enhanced user experience by integrating downtime info on the withdrawal, address verification, and
add-cash flows.
Led a log reduction initiative by identifying common flows across all services and removing
unnecessary logs, reducing log size by 10% and reducing S3 storage cost.
