I love taking ideas and turning them into things people can actually use. When I build something, I try to look at it like a user, not just an engineer. I like putting myself in different people’s shoes, maybe a parent, maybe a school kid, and thinking about how they would experience what I’m building. I also care a lot about design. I’m not a designer, but I really enjoy noticing things like visual hierarchy, affordances, and micro-interactions. Lately I’ve been learning more about design too, just to understand the user’s eye better and build with more empathy. Always happy to collaborate with engineers and designers having the same energy. Worked on a handwritten note style interface for iOS for people like me who miss writing by hand and want their notes to feel a bit more personal. Later decided to shift focus to other ideas.

Over those two years, I:
Set up automated data cleanup jobs (scheduled tasks, batch processing) so we weren’t sitting on stale or redundant data and things stayed performant.
Built real-time data sync pipelines so HR data stayed consistent across our global systems instead of drifting out of date.
Rolled out HR website segments in multiple countries; I helped with deployment and making sure things didn’t break in each region.
For the team I built an internal dashboard so we could track tasks and status in one place.
I added backend jobs that purge outdated content and trim legacy data so the system stays fast and storage stays under control.
And for all of that I got a Sparkling Star award, which was a nice nod from the management's side
