• Gridstore is a distributed storage system that utilizes concept of independent storage nodes with over-the-network RAID (sometimes called RAIN) data protection. A client (host) machine is presented with a virtual hard disk (LUN) that is backed with a set of storage nodes, minimum 3, up to 256. The data is stripped across all the nodes within a LUN and protected by Erasure Coding scheme.
