  • 5G Development Work: Here I involved in the following projects.
  • 5th Generation New Radio.
  • 5th Generation Narrow Band-Internet Of Things.
  • Currently my work here is 5G NB-IOT part, Physical layer implementing on matlab, C directly from 3GPP specs. Within april month I have completed NPRACH, NPUSCH code on matlab, C independently and it is working as expected with respect to 3GPP specs.
  • After NPRACH, I started work on NPSS, NSSS algorithms. Which was developed already by working people here. I again worked on that and solved multiple false alarms in NPSS, NSSS in the previously developed code.
  • In the above algorithms, the communication chain is Data, CRC, Encoding, Rate matching, Modulation, PRB mapping, PRB de-mapping, demodulation, scrambling. de-rate matching, decoder, CRC, decoded data. Which is almost similar to 5G New Radio as well.
  • First time in India, Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad ( IITH ) brought SMW200A Vector Signal Generator and FSW Signal & Spectrum Analyzer. The generated codes I am able to send through ROHDE & SCHWARZ SMW200A, receiving through FSW SIGNAL & SPECTRUM ANALYZER. The received data decoded and observed the expected output which is same as input given to transmitter. The codes which I worked in R&S setup are listed below:
  • Wired: Narrow Band Primary Synchronization Signal ( NPSS ),NR Uplink Shared Channel ( NR_USCH ) for modulations QPSK, 16 QAM, 256 QAM,NR Downlink Shared Channel ( NR_DSCH ) for modulations QPSK, 64 QAM,NR SSBurst ( NR_PSS_SSS_PBCH ).
  • Wireless: NR Uplink Shared Channel ( NR_USCH ) for modulations QPSK, 256 QAM.
  • I have excellent & enough knowledge on R&S setups working procedures.
  • Started working on FPGA area using vivado software of Xilinx to integrate my written code. This integration is to confirm my code is working in the following levels : i) Complete attach procedure ( which covers layers of PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, PDCP, NAS ), ii) Controller, timing parts during attach.

  • Description: To design, build and quantify the performance of rotating polarization technique over a software
  • defined radio. This technique is useful for robust wireless transmission in M2M and D2D scenarios.
  • This project involved designs and implementation of the following modules:
  • + Spreading over BPSK signals for robustness.
  • + SRRC filtering.
  • + Inducing rotations polarization over the vertical and horizontal antenna by multiplying with appropriate phasor in
  • the baseband.
  • + Timing, frame synchronization and channel estimation at the receiver to combat the fast fading channel artificially
  • induced by the rotating polarization.
  • + Matched filtering and de-spreading.
  • + Golden code in MATLAB followed by implementation in C and interfaced with USRP.
  • + Samething we implemented on MAC layer as well by adding prefix and suffix to the frame.
