As a Software Engineer in IBM Research, I have worked on multiple software projects as well as some research oriented projects. Being a part of the Distributed Systems team, I have worked on various Virtualization and Cloud Technologies. Some of my work include designing and implementing a new virtual disk format named LVD that supports deduplication (using QEMU project), implementing an exclusive cache scheme on top of FUSE, deploying and making changes on Openstack based on some project requirements. I have also worked on product oriented projects like migrating customer VM to cloud, building a modular managed cloud, Cloud Cost Assessment. I have worked on C/C++/Java/Python according to the requirement of the project. I have also worked on Datastore technology like Redis (key-value store) and exposing Rest API to clients to get-post data. I have also designed and implemented the front-end for some of these projects using Django, JSP technology. During my college days, I was interested in Computer Vision and Robotics and completed internship at Cornell and York University on this topic.
