About

I am an engineer with extensive experience in system-level optimization, distributed networking infrastructure, and low-level software design, including hands-on work with event loop architecture, in-memory databases, and performance tuning. Throughout my career at RtBrick and Juniper Networks, I’ve specialized in building and optimizing core components for high-performance microservices and networking platforms, focusing on secure design, CPU/memory efficiency, and robust event-driven architectures. I have recently joined Oracle as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, where I am part of the Load Balancer team within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. While I am new to the cloud domain, I am excited to apply my expertise in systems engineering and distributed systems design to this new environment, and I am eager to learn and contribute in the cloud space. Always driven by curiosity and a passion for problem-solving, I look forward to architecting resilient, future-ready systems and collaborating with talented teams.

  • Routing Infrastructure Team: Part of a team which handles all kernel interactions, memory management, scheduling, route resolution and all common protocol data structures like routes, next-hops, interfaces, etc. for routing protocol daemon (RPD).
  • Projects:
  • Parallel Processing of Route Information database (RIB):
  • As part of this project BGP RIB were sharded amongst multiple threads so that each chunk of RIB could be processed parallelly to enhance the BGP convergence.
  • ▪ Designed and implemented infrastructure to support CLI of sharding route database
  • ▪ Enhanced configuration parsing infrastructure to support multithreaded configuration parsing
  • Telemetry: Implemented telemetry data collection for Routing Protocol Daemon (RPD)
  • Kernel Mock Library: Developed a library to mock kernel response in all cases for white box testing of RPD
  • ATF: Wrote test cases in Automated Testing Framework (ATF) to test RPD next hops
