  • Responsible for producing technology breakthroughs for IBM's portfolio of network management products and services. My team delivered many prototypes and product components including Watson Real-Time Data-to-Decision Platform which provided IBM customers with an ability to gather real-time insights from their network traffic using deep packet inspection (DPI). Other achievements by my team included exploitation of FPGA and other hardware acceleration technologies for wireline-speed analytics and development of many analytics toolkits.
  • Developed a "point-in-polygon" algorithm for Ellipsoidal surfaces to challenge a 40+ years old status-quo of approximating the Earth as a planar surface to perform geospatial calculations. This discovery yielded geospatial algorithms that could perform geospatial calculations on large, global datasets with an elegance, efficiency, and accuracy unmatched by the previous approaches, and led to the development of Watson Spatiotemporal Library. Watson Spatiotemporal Library ships with several IBM products, solutions, and services providing a key differentiator in IBM offerings.
  • Program Director, International Technology Alliance. Responsible for managing blue-sky research in Information and Network Sciences by a multi-national consortium of twenty-three iacademic and industry partners.
  • Fostered a high-performance team by providing clarity in goals, eliminating process inefficiencies, and effective delegation.
