• I was responsible for the design and engineering of the recommendation engine that recommends self descriptive contents in the form of language texts, images and optimum discount percent for the merchants to create deals as a self service. It reduced the time taken to create a deal from nearly a month to two days. I also won the highest number of votes for the application I built at the hackathon which was also patented as "Visual Merchant Locator".

I also designed a high level language for the traders to customise trade matching rules to maximise the revenue for the bank. • Lead the project titled Autonomic Management of Overlay networks in mobile and wireless networks for efficient multimedia delivery, funded by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in partnership with Nortel. My work involved designing and implementing the network architecture to support multimedia delivery using overlays where there is node mobility, monitoring the Quality of Experience of videos delivered in IPTV networks, dynamic generation of overlay networks for heterogeneous networks with mobility and optimal fair resource allocation for different services. This work resulted in a few research publications.

• Carried out research work towards Autonomic Management of Communication Networks and Services (AMCNS) initiative and Federated Autonomic Management of End-to-end networks (FAME) initiative that led to the successful defense of my doctoral thesis. I carried out research work on Video-on-Demand delivery in IPTV networks. Invented new algorithms for video placement, multicast, video popularity distribution and video segmentation that resulted in a number of international journals and conferences besides the software components of optimisation frameworks.
