I'm currently building the next big thing for GenAI in finance. I led query understanding in search at Snap for 2+ years, TLed retrieval ranking of ads for 2+ years before that. Prior to this, I worked on personalization and recommender systems at Walmart Labs for 3+ years. I completed Master's in Computational Data Science (Analytics) at the Language Technologies Institute (LTI) in the School of Computer Science (SCS) at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in December 2017 - mainly focused on machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing and graph mining. With research in machine learning and data science reaching new heights, there is an increasing need to imbibe the same in our daily lives. With my work, I aim to make this process more ubiquitous and efficient. I have worked extensively with Python, and am skilled at programming in Java, C++, C, MATLAB, and R. I'd like to delve into the depths of the data available around us, so that I can draw meaningful predictive and descriptive inferences from it. I have worked on several applied research projects (in both industry and academia), and also participated in numerous extra-curricular activities. I obtained a B. Tech. in Mathematics and Computing from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in 2016. I was intrigued by my stream, since it is an amalgamation of mathematics and computer science, with sprinkles of finance - all three of them fields which really interested me in high school. A few other phenomena which really fascinate me are dreams and their relationship with our conscious mind, black holes and wormholes, protein folding, and the way this world of ours functions as a whole.
