For more than 15 years, I have worked in hedge fund technology, building and architecting the systems that support modern trading environments. My work has focused on institutional-grade trading platforms, execution infrastructure, market data systems, and quantitative technology that enable hedge funds to operate with scale, speed, and reliability. That experience is what led me to build Zentropy. Zentropy was founded around a simple belief: hedge funds need technology partners who understand the realities of trading systems, infrastructure complexity, data intensity, and production-grade performance. Long before AI became central to technology conversations, the focus was already on building strong systems that could support evolving trading and quant environments. What has changed in recent years is the role AI is starting to play across this stack. AI is no longer limited to research models or experimentation at the edge. It is beginning to influence how data is processed, how workflows are automated, and how operational and decision-support systems evolve inside trading environments. At Zentropy, we see AI as an important new layer on top of a much deeper foundation: trading systems, execution infrastructure, market data, and quantitative technology built for real-world hedge fund operations. Hedge fund technology requires a very different mindset from enterprise software. Systems need to handle real-time data, operate with high reliability, and support constantly changing strategies without compromising performance or control. That has been the core of the work for years. AI now adds a new dimension to it. I’m always interested in connecting with people building or operating technology inside hedge funds and institutional trading teams.
