• i) Chief Architect / Over-all technical leadership w.r.t building a ground-up cloud-native SDN/ optical planning platform ground up at Infinera. I report to the VP of Engineering, SDN / Network Planning / NMS and am responsible for over-all architecture oversight, enforcement of design principles, feature roadmap planning, technical derisking and design reviews across a 35-odd handpicked best-in-class engineering team that is geo-distributed across Sunnyvale and India.
• ii) Chief architect / owned the network planning architecture charter for the next-generation optical planning tool (routing and optical link engineering) solution across Infinera. This focused on production quality heuristics / approximations to several theoretically difficult (NP-hard) optimization problems.

• Over-all ownership of technology roadmap, architecture and software at Ionos Networks.
• Responsible for over-all architectural oversight of a complex horizontally-scalable geo-distributed WAN-optimized application-layer overlay routing SDN control plane and SDN data plane orchestrated over multiple public clouds. I cannot disclose more details since Ionos Networks is still in stealth-mode.

• At HP Networking
• In HP Networking: I was part of the core 5-member geodistributed R&D technical architecture team that was responsible for defining and executing HP's software defined networking vision. I was responsible for the following items in HP Networking SDN R&D:
• 1) shared technical ownership of the L2 / L3 data model for an enterprise grade SDN control plane including hierarchical network topology, network-wide forwarding information database, virtual port interfaces, sFlow / Netflow control, tapping etc
• 2) over-all technical ownership clustering and distributed computing charter for SDN control plane including all aspects of high availability, database tier and scale-out
• 2) over-all technical ownership of HP Networking SDN analytics / network big data charter
• 3) over-all technical ownership of HP Networking SDN network visibility / troubleshooting charter
• Previously, at HP, I have worked in multiple areas in the networking domain including as the inter-domain routing lead within HP Procurve (BGP, OSPF, routemaps, route-daemon internal architecture, host-route interface manager etc), network stack development, network protocol development, network services platform development and network management/ network business intelligence platforms. I have been responsible for identifying new business opportunities and have led technical teams in conceptualizing, architecture and implementation of these ideas including working with cross-functional teams such as marketing/sales and taking it to a product stage.
