About

Tons of info on our blog: titoma.com Quick quote on your NRE & unit cost: titoma.com/NRE Titoma means "Time To Market". We avoid delays and quality issues, by involving trusted factories in China & Taiwan very early on in the design. Our B2B clients need to stay focused on sales and software, so we take care of the complete design and manufacturing of their electronics. Projects start at $150K in production value. We design embedded systems mostly around STM32, PIC32, Bluetooth from Nordic and WiFi from ESP. Many are wirelessly connected, Internet Of Things (IoT) and we also make manufacturing equipment. We protect IP by doing design & prototyping of the complete device in our offices in Taiwan & Colombia (40+ engineers), manufacture with trusted factories in China and Taiwan. My Story? In 1994 I came to Taiwan, and I have been working in electronic product development in Taiwan & China ever since. What I have discovered is that to get to market FAST, you need to avoid having to do things twice. The only way to do that is early supplier involvement. To build a custom electronic device, you need a great deal of (custom) components, and the cost-effective ones are all made in Greater China. So effective electronics design needs to be done there. In the early years of Titoma I worked with Chinese ODM factories to do the majority of the electronic development, but as hard as we worked, we had a lot of problems, No. 1 being that it took ages. Read more about my China manufacturing lessons learned here: https://www.titoma.com/china-odm-factory-designs-7-pitfalls-to-avoid/ When I finally realized that for an ODM factory new product development will never be a priority, we started doing all engineering & prototyping of electronic hardware and firmware and their mechanical parts in-house, and have never looked back. We have no need to lock you in, our clients own all IP, molds and manufacturing files. My team and I make sure your device gets done: reliable, on time and on budget. Chairman Embedded Systems: Design & Manufacturing

Jul 2001Present · 24 yrs 8 mos · New Taipei City, Taiwan

  • Titoma, the Time To Market company, helps Western companies to design and manufacture their custom electronic devices on the ground in China. Many of our clients have essential parts of their business depending on the device we make for them, and so reliability is our guiding principle.
  • We are focused on embedded connected devices, Internet of Thing (IoT).
  • We add lots of value by designing product architectures which really leverage the unique cost/performance offered by China's manufacturers, both for of the shelf and custom parts. http://www.titoma.com/our-9-laws/
  • For touchy-feely stuff like Industrial and GUI and graphic design we often cooperate with Western design firms close to the client. But Titoma always takes responsibility for the complete project, from specification all the way to manufacturing, logistics and warranty.
  • 80% of an electronic product's cost is in the components, to be competitive in today's market you often need to use Asian components, and to be able to incorporate those in your design you need the support from the local vendors, which more often than not only comes in Chinese.
  • Taiwan is the silicon valley of Asia, with every component supplier imaginable with 1 hour drive from our Taipei head-office. Our engineers and bi-lingual project managers interact with a multitude of suppliers to optimize the product design for low cost manufacturing in China.
  • We focus mostly on connected devices (appcessories), embedded solutions with LCD touch screens, bar-code scanners, remote health diagnosis devices, and various medical electronic devices.
