They say, every powerful goal begins when time stops rushing, and purpose finally catches up. My purpose finally caught up with me in 2017 over a Tennis Match. I have been watching Tennis matches ever since I was 6 years old- absorbing countless Tennis matches over the years. But one match in 2017 changed my life. It was Rafa Nadal’s La Decima at Roland Garros. Out of curiosity, I googled “Psychology in the field of Tennis” and the results showed “Sport Psychology” as a field. And rest is the journey. Over the past 7 years, I have worked across 20 sports, 100 players both who play at National and International levels across Individual and Team Sports. I have taken up quite a few roles- Sport Psychology Consultant, Guest Speaker, Podcast Host and most recently a TEDx Speaker. But my favourite role is that isn’t listed anywhere — being the person an athlete can trust when the world feels overwhelming. Because they say, when a player enters a Sport Psychologist’s cabin, they bring their entire worlds with them. And it’s within that world — their fears, hopes, habits, and stories — that my work begins. That’s the foundation of my work today. I help athletes make sense of their emotions, pressures, identities, and motivations. I work with them to build the mindset behind performance — the focus, the resilience, the self-belief, and the emotional steadiness that sport quietly demands. Beyond athletes, I also work with parents, coaches, clubs and organisations helping them understand the psychological side of growth, learning, and human behaviour. I believe every athlete deserves a safe space, every parent deserves clarity, and every goal deserves the right team behind it. And as my work continues to evolve, I also feel a growing responsibility to hold space for meaningful conversations around mental health — not just for athletes, but for anyone trying to make sense of their inner world. To nurture that space, I have opened two extensions of my journey:“Breakingthebarriers.in” where my learnings, resources, and work live, and my Podcast- https://www.youtube.com/@TheSportSoul where I explore the stories, struggles, and psychology behind human performance.
