• Project: Hadoop implementation of BI tool iDecisions
• About: iDecisions is an IP (intellectual property) of Tech Mahindra which is a pre-packaged, customizable analytics solution with flexible report templates and dashboards to leverage vertical specific data models following the industry standard. This project aims to couple the capabilities of this tool with the power of adoop distributed architecture, and by de-normalizing customer and billing data into HDFS to run various analytics on the dataset.
• Role: As a senior Java/Hadoop engineer, I am responsible for data ingestion through SQOOP, getting the data into HBase for de-normalization, which can then be fed to Postgres for further analytics. The data brought to Postgres will act as input to iDecisions which can then run scheduled jobs for different analytical reports.
