About

I’m a communications and engagement professional with a background in Fine Art (First-Class Honours) and a proven record of building communities that create lasting impact. Currently Alumni Engagement Officer at De Montfort University, I lead the DMU for Life initiative, managing communications with 65,000 alumni worldwide and cultivating a network of over manage 650 active volunteers. Since 2023, I’ve overseen the growth of the Alumni Hub by 3,737 members – from 5,307 to 9,044 – driving engagement through targeted campaigns, strategic content, and alumni-led initiatives. My work connects graduates and students with each other and with the university, ensuring alumni communications are both meaningful and aligned to organisational priorities. I have led initiatives including the Alumni Speaker Series, Catching Up With You alumni stories, Future You (a programme designed to support final-year students progress into post-university life), and the DMU Staff Running Club – each designed to foster growth, collaboration and belonging. Through these projects, I’ve delivered professional development events, created industry insight opportunities, and built alumni-driven networks that directly benefit students and graduates. My approach is both strategic and hands-on: - Curating communications to 65,000 alumni across digital channels and newsletters. - Delivering nearly 4,000 new Hub sign-ups in 18 months, bringing the platform to 9,044 members. - Supervising and developing interns and student volunteers with a focus on learning, leadership and inclusion. - Using insight-led content and CRM data to strengthen engagement. I am currently undertaking a Level 3 Leadership and Management Apprenticeship with Corndel, developing further skills in coaching, supervision and strategic leadership. Beyond DMU, I serve as a trustee for a domestic abuse charity and volunteer through Women Who Can, supporting women in their personal and professional journeys. These roles deepen my commitment to inclusive communities and align with my advocacy for female empowerment and neurodiversity. Creative, insight-led and relationship-driven, I specialise in making communications meaningful and communities inclusive.
