About

If you previously knew me as a Pharmacist or a Lawyer and Head of Legal at AstraZeneca, you might think you’re on the wrong profile. But the reality is that I saw such a lack of joy around me in my corporate executive roles that I knew I needed to do things differently not just for myself but for humanity. In 2013, I lost my beloved father unexpectedly. At his funeral, I realised how deeply he touched people’s lives, inspiring little moments of joy. That day, I embraced the idea that life is that small “dash” between our birth year and death year. I vowed to rekindle my own dash of joy and help others do the same. Reconnecting to and researching joy felt like treasure hunting without a map. There were countless resources on stress, anxiety, and happiness, but very little about the innate capacity for joy we often deprioritise. So, I wrote “Joynetix – Unlock Your Joy Potential,” fusing “joy” and “genetics.” Drawing on epigenetics and neuroplasticity, I wrote about how cultivating joy can reshape our biology for greater health, vitality, and well-being - while also boosting productivity, creativity, and fulfilment in the workplace. So yes… this is still me, just happier, and no longer sporting that sharp pin-stripe suit. I’m passionate about helping people bring joy into businesses, because joy fuels success! My first TEDx talk was among the top five most-watched in 2022 - and it, too, was all about joy. Hearing how it awakened others to life’s most precious moments made me realise my work was still missing a piece. During my last chapter at AstraZeneca, I also reinvented myself as a technologist. I was a founding member of their Digital Health department, developing game-changing solutions that truly make a difference in patients’ lives. Driven by the mission to enhance joy worldwide, I eventually left corporate life to focus on building technology that acts as a natural antidote to modern stress and anxiety, in the moment. Who I am for myself and others is S.A.J 2.0: Satisfaction, Aliveness, and Joy.
