About

I still remember my first day at a solar energy startup, staring at a codebase I barely understood. No one to ask. No documentation. Just me, Google, and a lot of trial and error. That's pretty much how I learned to code by figuring things out, making mistakes, and slowly getting better. I'm Ratnesh, a frontend developer working with React and JavaScript. I've been doing this for about 4 years now, and I'm still learning something new every week. At Electrum, I worked on features that helped people explore solar energy options. One project was a referral system—nothing fancy, just a way for users to share the platform with friends. It ended up helping more people discover solar solutions, which felt good. Now at SilverDoor, I'm working on updating an older system. It's slow, careful work—changing things bit by bit while making sure nothing breaks. Some days it's frustrating. Other days, when something finally works, it's pretty satisfying. Here's what I've learned so far: Good code is code that other people can understand Every project teaches you something (usually what not to do next time) It's okay to not know everything, asking questions is how you learn I like working on problems that need patience and attention to detail. Legacy code, new features, performance issues—I find all of it interesting in different ways. If you're working on something and want to chat about frontend development, React, or just swap stories about debugging nightmares, feel free to reach out.
