• LinkedIn's core architecture is heavily service-oriented - a large number of moving parts working in concert on the incredibly complex queries that serve recommendations, network updates, messages, search results, news, etc, and compose the user experience that is LinkedIn. In the Service Infrastructure team, we're building the bits that bring all this complexity together - the "operating system" of LinkedIn. We're driving LinkedIn's next-gen service architecture, and building some cool stuff to make developing @ LinkedIn fun, and operating and scaling LinkedIn easy.

• In various roles ranging from starting as a senior engineer developing the first few versions of LinkedIn's Advertising platform, building out the teams and platforms that power our Subscriptions and Jobs products, to driving a major re-architecture effort to scale our Payment system, I've been part of almost everything related to revenue at LinkedIn, and absolutely everything related to online revenue. The revenue team has some of the smartest, most driven people I've ever worked with, and is tackling some seriously interesting technical problems.

• Served as key technical leader on the Ariba Supplier Network (Ariba SN) engineering team. Led various Application and Infrastructure development efforts - all across the vertical technology stack.
• Highlights:
• Technical lead on stealth project to build out major new strategic revenue initiative. Heavily involved from conception phase, and responsible for overall architecture as well as development of key components.
• Key member of Supplier Membership Program team, which created the Ariba SN's first substantial revenue stream.
• Led large cross-functional team based in Sunnyvale, CA and Bangalore, India, to develop Ariba's patent-pending supplier enablement solution. Owned overall architecture, and contributor on all related patents.
• Worked on every part of the technology stack, from building javascript controls and contributing to Ariba's open-source UI framework, to building a data-layer security framework to prevent server coding errors from compromising customer data.

• Worked on Oracle WebDB, an early pre-cursor to Oracle's Internet Application Suite. Built WebDB's primary Web-SQL gateway adaptor in C.

• Leverage built one of the first all-Java web application servers, the "Locomotive" engine. Featured a unique templating language, called "Steam," that allowed advanced expressions embedded in HTML code. The Locomotive engine was eventually open sourced.
