I'm co-creator of the Unison distributed systems programming language and co-author of the book Functional Programming in Scala. Currently I am Founder and CEO at Unison Computing. My expertise is in functional programming, compilers, distributed systems, and in leading high-performance technical teams building hard things. Prior to Unison, I originated or helped build out significant pieces of the Scala functional programming ecosystem and acted as Principal Consultant at Stage N Consulting, specializing in Scala, Haskell, Elm, and functional programming. I also have a background in Artificial Intelligence from graduate study at Brandeis University.
