• In this role, I serve as the Chief Administrator and Associate Cancer Center Director for Administration of the University of Illinois Cancer Center (UICC). I lead all administration, operations, and strategic planning for UICC. The UICC has launched four basic and translational research programs and several centralized shared resources to provide a solid foundation for conduct of research throughout the cancer continuum. Our vision is to become a comprehensive community-focused cancer center, and my role in implementation of this vision is to advance the translational research and scientific impact of the University of Illinois Cancer Center. I have been responsible for securing additional funding and establishing key relationships within and outside the University to expand cancer-focused research and care. Additionally, I have designed, developed, and implemented the UICC data capture applications for research programs and core facilities. Over the past year, I have worked extensively to build the Oncopig Cancer Model (OCM) team with a goal of launching translational research studies. I have extensive experience in clinical research informatics, particularly in early phase human clinical trial data. I have enjoyed applying knowledge of current cancer trials to conceptualizing translational research experiments.
