After taking voluntary retirement in April 2010, I embarked on a journey to pursue my lifelong passion: personal finance. Throughout my years in the Indian Armed Forces, I was deeply drawn to financial planning and had the privilege of advising countless officers and colleagues. However, I often observed a disconnect - despite their fairly good salaries and status, many armed forces personnel and their families struggled to achieve the financial security and prosperity they deserved. This realisation ignited my determination to make a difference. Even with my promotion to Brigadier approved in February 2010, I chose to take voluntary retirement and follow my dream of addressing this financial gap. Hum Fauji Initiatives was born out of this vision - a personal finance company (Corporate Registered Investment Advisor) uniquely dedicated to enhancing the financial wellness of India’s armed forces personnel and their families across the globe. Today, as CEO, I am proud to lead a truly iconic and award-winning organization that transforms lives through expert financial planning and guidance. It is really a mission dedicated to enhancing the financial well-being of Indian armed forces personnel and their families, both in India and globally. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), my academic pursuits include a thesis on the personal financial management of Indian Army officers during my Master of Management Sciences. My passion for financial literacy extends to my contributions to leading publications like Economic Times, Business Today, Outlook Money, and Financial Express. Technology is another passion I continue to nurture. With a B.Tech in Electronics and an M.Tech in Electromagnetics from IIT Kanpur, I constantly seek innovative ways to integrate technology into financial planning, ensuring our clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions.
