• I served as the Group Head & General Counsel for Microsoft India's Corporate, External, & Legal Affairs (CELA) department, supporting all 6 business units of Microsoft India, leading and managing a talented and diverse team of senior professionals specializing in commercial legal, engineering legal, regulatory & policy, compliance & investigations, enterprise risk governance, litigation, digital crimes and CSR. I was part of the MS India Senior Leadership Team of Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS), One MS India Leadership Team, MS Global CELA Area 14 Leadership Team, and MS CELA Asia Leadership Team.
• My senior leadership role was that of a chief counsel & trusted advisor to Microsoft India President & Corporate VP and supporting Microsoft India's strategic priorities and industry solutions, supporting innovative and complex AI & cloud commercial legal engagements with customers and partners in enterprise commercial, public sector, start-ups, small & medium corporates. I provided leadership counsel to business groups on public policy & regulatory affairs, Responsible AI initiatives, trusted cloud advocacy, data privacy and cybersecurity, litigation and compliance, accessibility, CSR, and legal and policy matters related to Data Centers establishment. I also drove thought leadership and engagements with senior government stakeholders, public sector think-tanks and industry bodies. My role expanded to support the leadership teams in the India Development Center (IDC), Microsoft Research India (MSR), and Customer Support Services (CSS) units.

• I served as the Asia Regional Director and Assistant General Counsel of Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), as part of Corporate, External & Legal Affairs (CELA), based out of Singapore. In my regional role, I supervised the initiatives, programs and strategies related to preventing and disrupting organized cybercrime, Internet piracy, and online tech-support scams through public-private partnership by way of monitoring, escalation, enforcement and litigation strategies against cybercriminals targeting consumer platforms, cloud services & data centers, led by deep data analytics, cyber forensics, investigations and business intelligence.
• I executed cybersecurity capacity building & awareness among customers, partners, government stakeholders and legal community, and undertook government outreach on national security, cybercrime laws & policies. In my role I had the amazing opportunity to design and supervise the construction of Microsoft Asia's first Transparency & Cybersecurity Center in Singapore, which improved partnership with Interpol Asia HQ (Interpol Global Complex for Innovation) against cybercrime disruption. My leadership responsibilities included driving trusted public cloud and platform security advocacy and building law enforcement relationship & collaboration in various Internet related fraud, abuse and crime areas.
• My Asia Digital Crimes Unit team was awarded the annual Global Best Team Award for highest business impact and protecting company's assets and interests. As a people manager of a team spread across Asia markets, I was committed to hire, retain and grow the best diverse talent and driving cross-group collaboration and partnership across several business and functional teams, leading with inclusion principles and practices.

• I served Microsoft India as a Director & Senior Attorney for its intellectual property and license compliance department as part of Legal & Corporate Affairs (LCA), supporting sales and marketing, based out of New Delhi, which included support to IPR support to India Development Center in Hyderabad, particularly patents. The managerial role included leading and executing Microsoft's programs, policies and practices in driving genuine software campaigns, IPR and cybersecurity awareness, and reducing software piracy in India through engagements, education, civil and criminal initiatives. As a member company representative, I also served in the Business Software Alliance (BSA) India Committee programs and advocacy work as its Chair.
• Prior to Microsoft, I was a partner at the premier intellectual property law firm of Anand & Anand Advocates, New Delhi, handling the firm’s IT & E-Commerce related litigation & advisory matters.
• Besides India, I am also a licensed attorney for the State of New York, USA and have worked in the New York City. I have been a regular public speaker on the topics of IT governance, cybercrime, cybersecurity, trusted cloud, IPR crimes and related subject matters across the Asia region.
