All businesses exist to solve market problems, and I have devoted my career to creating and applying technology solutions to alleviate user pain points. Ongoing challenges such as the rapid pace of change in the field, limited infrastructure and resources, and increasing user demands all converge to put more pressure on developers and engineers. The field requires professionals who can think conceptually, plan strategically, and execute technically. In my current role with BMW, I combine business acumen with technological skills and knowledge to drive the business forward. With a global perspective, I manage geographically dispersed teams to drive innovation and fuel growth. I do not believe that “good enough” is good enough, so when I discovered that a recently developed prototype had a bug that could potentially cost the company upwards of $1M, I investigated the issue and created a new solution. Creating new ways to solve problems has earned me the reputation of being an internal subject matter expert and thought leader. I am also dedicated to transforming data into knowledge and using that knowledge to inform my decisions. Ultimately, I am a strategic leader who believes that people are the drivers of success in any organization. I recruit, coach, and train top talent and then provide them with the tools and latitude they need to create innovative products and solutions.
