  • NAM (a joint venture with Exxon) operates one of the largest gas field assets in the world, the Groningen Gas field. Coordination and execution of the delivery of damage claims and handling where gas production from a deep sub-surface reservoir led to Richter 3+ scale earthquakes, public and political outrage and significant damage to property. Now working towards accelerated energy transition in The Netherlands.
  • Responsible for a substantial program budget and, from a complex background: i) assembled and led a multi-functional team of experts (150 headcount) ii) defined legally, financially and publicly acceptable policies and protocols and iii) in a highly sensitive situation, acted as a NAM’s spokesperson (Government and Press Relations, and in the Courts)- media trained.
  • Ensured throughout that Shell/Exxon delivered against the promise given to those eligible for compensation by the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs and National Co-ordinator Hans Alders to mitigate impact on gas production. Delivered major gamechanger though “NAM at distance” and subsequent contracts.
