• Directed and executed complex downhole fishing operations across a range of well conditions, including stuck pipe, parted tubulars, lost BHAs, and compromised downhole assemblies. Responsible for job design, tool selection, and execution strategy, integrating mechanical, hydraulic, and metallurgical considerations to maximize recovery success while protecting well integrity.
• Led field crews through critical operations such as overshots, spears, mills, washovers, jar assemblies, and P&A work with a core focus on coiled tubing and our patented 1-Trip Whipstock with real-time decision-making based on torque, drag, pressure response, and downhole feedback. Interpreted well data and surface indicators to adjust tactics under evolving conditions, often in high-risk, non-routine environments.
• Maintained operational accountability for HSE compliance, equipment readiness, failure analysis, and post-job reporting. Collaborated closely with drilling, completions, and engineering teams to align fishing strategies with broader well objectives, cost controls, and risk thresholds.
• This role required deep technical judgment, procedural discipline, and the ability to execute under uncertainty where recovery outcomes directly impacted well economics and operational timelines.
• My work ranged from offshore, land, and inland waters in Louisiana, and all throughout Texas and the Rockies from Alice, TX to Williston and I have personally sold millions of dollars worth of coil tubing and whipstock work while living and working in the DJ Basin.
