• Trade Capture UI - Technical Lead on the design and development of multithreaded, dynamic, event driven (duplex WCF) UI. The UI featured adaptive screens that built themselves around the combination of asset classes selected, a natural text business rules designer, large and fast moving data grids and high levels of user customisation.
• Prime Services Trade Capture Server - Led the design and development of the new strategic, high performance / throughput, low latency, multithreaded, cross asset Trade Capture platform for RBS Prime Services (.NET 3.5, WCF, TIBCO EMS, Business Works, SQL Server 2008).
• Exotic Options - Worked with Font Office traders to analyse and develop the extension of the system to capture, match, book and monitor Digital/Binary and Barrier options.
• Credit Default Swaps – Added automated capture and booking of Single Name and Index CDS trades into the RBS PB platform.
• IRD Billing Engine – Worked directly with Front Office analysts to convert Excel based billing algorithms into C# and integrated this asset class into the existing billing engine.
• Client Onboarding – Onboarded FX (spt, fwd, swp) trades from many new hedge funds (refactoring the existing codebase along the way). Worked directly with the Front Office and was the technical specialist at key client meetings.
• Continuous Integration – Created a generic Nant script, added all projects into CC.NET, migrated the code from VSS to Subversion and standardised the Solution structures. Also added regression tests to existing codebase and mentored and implemented TDD on new projects.
• Performance Optimisation – Analysed the application servers and databases to identify and remove key performance bottlenecks.
