But not just corporate clients, also water and housing companies, as well as Dutch ministries. Before that, a different career: sustainable agriculture projects for Albert Heijn and the European Commission, and organising a Dutch trade mission to Silicon Valley. This mix isn't accidental. I keep ending up where technology meets complex, regulated domains. First agriculture, then data, next up..? These days I care most about three things: 1. Making engineers' lives better through good DX and platform engineering. 2. Building privacy-first software and AI that actually works well. 3. European digital sovereignty, because where your data lives and who controls your stack matters, a lot. I write here about the tension between massive hype, business goals and engineering realities.
