Designed and implemented a Python based network virtualisation product, which gave us the ability to virtualize, and emulate complex production networks( in the order of 100s of nodes ) for simulation and testing purposes on x86 hardware. Currently, running in beta with multiple customers.
Designed and implemented a language neutral framework( by defining data types and service interfaces ), for configuration and operational access of our networking products. This was primarily aimed at establishing an extensible way of serializing/deserializing data across varying network management mechanisms. This meta data, could be converted to multiple formats like C library APIs for configuration access, SNMP MIBs, XML Schemas ( for SOAP request/responses ), HTML forms for web access, JSON schemas and even Python classes to ease automation/management support.
Designed and implemented a web application framework( Django based ) to ease technical documentation writing and publishing for our products. This product allowed multiple authors/developers to write technical documentation over the web, in a collaborative fashion. It also had publishing capabilities in multiple output formats, like ePub, PDF, HTML formats etc.
Designed and implemented various features like archive/retrieve of configurations, clearing system configurations, managing user access control on the system, optimising file system access, XML management framework etc. for our networking products.
