• I was invited by Braille without Borders, to set up a Centre for Social Innovation whose mandate is to “enable social change through innovation”. At the Centre, I assembled a team of researchers, designers, policy-activists and software engineers.
• I was responsible for conceptualising the Centre, operationalising this concept, strategic planning, alliances, fundraising as well as administrative duties such as evaluations, audits etc

• I conducted regular training programs for both public and private sector web developers on building accessible websites. In February 2009, I introduced a group of thirty Government of India web developers to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and have since held regular training sessions across India.

• As Technical Partner with the Diversity and Equal Opportunity Centre, I collaborated on projects that required specialised knowledge of web accessibility.
• I collaborated on campaigns for World Disability Day (2008), and on setting up an accessible knowledge portal related to the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (http://uncrpdindia.org/)

• As a Core Group Member of the Information and Communication wing of the NCPEPD, I was instrumental in bringing the Government of India to the table to discuss and, in February 2009, adopt the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for all Central and State Government websites. I was part of a twelve-member National Task Force on Website Accessibility which advised the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication on WCAG adoption and implementation.

• At Samuha/iSquareD, a social enterprise based in North Karnataka, as a short-term consultant I was responsible for conceptualising, designing and building a Management Information System for their disability program. I also put into place a Marketing and Branding strategy for the company and helped them design campaigns for selling their products in rural areas.
