I'm Aslam Sayyad, a B.Tech Computer Science Student focused on Java, Spring Boot and Backend development along with Open Source and Data Structures and Algorithms. I’m someone who believes that learning by building is the best way to grow, and that belief has guided my journey so far. My journey with open-source has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve had the opportunity to be a Top Contributor at GirlScript Summer of Code 2024, where I ranked in the top 12 among 2500+ participants. I later joined the GSSoC Extended Program as a Web Developer and Core Team Member, where I mentored contributors, reviewed and merged PRs, and maintained GitHub repositories. Currently, I’m building with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and diving deeper into backend development and scalable system design.
