Cable-Driven Robotics Researcher

Aug 2021Apr 2022 · 8 mos · West Lafayette, Indiana, United States

  • Performed research in the field of cable-driven robotics alongside PhD candidate Ruoyi Li under Dr. Diao Xiumin in Purdue's school of mechanical engineering technology. Our research encompassed the development of an inexpensive, novel cable-driven robotic arm. Our primary objective was to develop a cost effective, robust and modular transhumeral prosthetic. Cable driven robotics are well suited for this role, as they are inherently more compliant and low-mass than industrial solutions, making them safer and more comfortable for the user.
