Veena Verma, Abhishek Verma’s mother, served as a Member of Parliament for 18 years, and was later appointed as the Vice President of Congress Party. A Hindu College graduate, Abhishek Verma pursued higher studies from Georgetown University, Washington DC. He received Doctorate of Philosophy from Maryland State University, USA. In 1997, when Abhishek Verma was in his late twenties, he was named the Youngest Billionaire of India by renowned magazine India Today in its cover story of November 1997 issue.
