• I worked as a software engineering intern for Siemens Mobility Research and Development in summer 2022. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the company, learning from experienced engineers in the transport industry and working with new technologies. Across the 12 weeks I was there, I worked mainly on two projects - one improving the logging system on a railway management configuration tool and the other designing and developing a PoC of a web application for setting temporary speed restrictions on tracks. My internship was a valuable learning curve, providing me with a breadth of new experience working in software development.

• I underwent a month-long work experience programme at Birmingham City University in summer 2019. I conducted an independent research project within the computer games faculty of the university, involving the design and development in Unity of an education video game aiming to teach children about the importance of beekeeping. I presented my research paper on gamification in education and business to a cross-functional team from The Co-Operative Group, collaborating with them to explore technology-driven enhancements for supermarket stores.
