• Created and launched an ambitious programme to foster sector-wide innovation. Acclaimed by regulators globally for its proactive approach to innovation and leading to the creation of new businesses in a sector worth $34bn globally.
• Established a collaboration with the NHS Leadership Academy to develop a ground-breaking online leadership development programme. The programme reached 7,000 people in 130 countries in just 12 months and over 95% reported it “equipped them to be more effective leaders”. Finalist in the prestigious European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) Awards 2019, recognising outstanding collaborations in leadership development across the globe.
• Collaborated with senior civil servants to draft legislation to implement governance reforms to improve the organisation’s efficiency, transparency and accountability. Delivered reform by developing a compelling evidence based case to ensure the support of the professions and the legislation’s safe passage through Parliament
• Led the development of a strategy to ensure Brexit has a minimal impact upon the UK veterinary sector. Subsequently appointed as a Board member of a joint initiative with Defra to address post-Brexit workforce issues and modernise the UK veterinary sector.

Led and restructured a 25-strong team spread across the UK to revitalise the initiative, making it more relevant to the public and profession. Resulting in annual membership growth increasing by 35% and turnover by over 60% within 30 months
