Aritra Nandy — CEO
“In a world that is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous, leaders have to be willing to adapt, be nimble, and make decisions through an ever-changing landscape” Bob Iger. My name is Aritra Nandy, Founder of Grafton Tarmac Engineering & Civil and CEO at ARUP NANDY & Sons, a family-owned construction company. I had a brief work experience in the Audit Industry and worked as an Audit Associate 1 in Asset Management industry in KPMG US Audit. I went to Graduate School at St Xavier’s College (Autonomous) Kolkata and completed my Ex-MBA from ISB Hyderabad (Executive Management Program in Real Estate & Infrastructure). As the Managing Partner at Grafton Tarmac Engineering and Civil - I’ve spent years working in real estate and infrastructure. We have carried out various Civil, construction & Water Treatment Solution jobs under Arup Nandy & Sons and has the experience of direct supervision and personal control. The works include earth work, canal lining works, Piping works, Water Treatment Solution Work, Road Construction Work, RCC Hl Work and any other maintained work with self‐owned machinery. Beyond my work in real estate and infrastructure, I’m actively involved in the sports and community building — serving on the GC of Mohun Bagan AC, Member of CII, and Sports Convener at SXCCAA. Somewhere along the way, my passion for stories and sports found its home on LinkedIn — where I write daily about motivational sports stories and leadership lessons from the field. These experiences shape how I view leadership, teamwork and local development. I have always believed what Keith Ferrazzi, a Harvard Alumnus said about networking “The currency of real networking is not greed but generosity” that’s how I expanded my networking circle and did wonders to whatever business I am into. I am a 35 years old with a 6 year old daughter her name is Mishka and we play Tennis every morning for an hour before we head for breakfast. You tell me to try any new sport I can learn it in few hours and become a pro. Quoting Jack Ma, “In your 20s to 30s, it's not about finding the right company, but finding the right boss. A good boss will teach you how to do things, and a great boss will help you find the right things to do. However, when you're in your 30s to 40s, it's not about finding the right boss, but finding the right mentor. A mentor will tell you the right way to do things and, more importantly, the right time to do them”, I am looking for that kind of mentor in my life who will influence me towards my goal.
