  • Hacking the social media platforms is not a piece of cake, but what if you can hack one of the biggest social media platform – Instagram. For Airtel India, we came up with T20 Hunt – a hunt for the villains that are hindrances to continuity in watching the T20 cricket matches. This was part of the T20 campaign for Airtel. This was done via a simple Instagram feature – SAVE. The idea was to give a puzzle on the Insta feed and ask the users to save the puzzle frames in the correct order, take a screenshot and share on the page. This became popular and garnered good participation. Not only this, the acquisition of 4G sim during this period increased remarkably. This piece was covered by Ad-Age and others recently.

  • Dentsu Webchutney opened doors for me and Airtel’s digital mandate together! I have literally grown Airtel’s account from a digital virgin to one of India’s leading digital brands. It was our team that took Airtel’s Instagram handle from 0 followers to 30K followers in 3 months without a penny spent on advertising – this was purely the correct platform strategy of riding the travel tale on Instagram in the beginning. Since then there has been no looking back, today we stand tall at a 166k followers with pure creative first approach for the account. From zero investment on social, to one of the biggest spenders on social in India – we have built the brand’s digital identity on each platform. This learning on the brand has been derived from an understanding of analytics on the brand – hands on on different tools and data interpretation. Be it management of social media or driving performance campaigns or maintaining and creation of websites, Airtel has been a great learning process. From being the executive for one arm of the brand to leading the entire Airtel business, the journey has been a rewarding one and continues to be so.

  • ADHM 2016 brings back some great memories – this was the year I learnt the most about innovations. If you are a runner, we would have crossed paths at the event, if you are not a runner we would have crossed paths at the back-end when you must have played the Smartphone marathon. We conceptualized the game that allowed users to run with the fingers on the app and complete the 21 km virtually. This was in-theme of Make your run count campaign that Airtel was running for the cause of digital literacy. This won us an Abby at the Goafest 2017

  • While handling the online reputation management for Air India, one would come across crisis every 6 hours! The crisis used to vary from a dead lizard in the food mid-air to passengers being stuck at the airport for hours due to flight delay. The comments just didn’t stop flowing – as this is the national carrier of India, the comments would be picked up by influential Twitteratis and a whole new war would begin online. During these times, it became imperative that not only we tighten our ORM responses and TAT, but also ready ourselves to come out with an accurate brand response at the earliest and shift focus from the crisis. Our continued efforts won us the IPRCCA 2016 for excellence in crisis management.
  • AUTO EXPO 2014 & 2016
  • The first ‘break’ in the world of campaigns, came in the form of handling the digital PR and social media mandate for the biggest auto show in the country – Auto Expo : The Motor Show 2014, organized by SIAM. From writing content to be showcased on the social media pages of Auto Expo to writing releases pre, during and post event, from contacting auto-bloggers and auto websites for invitation to organizing their meets with top brand leaders like Anand Mahindra at the expo, from covering all reveals live to all brand showcases at the event, from organizing contests to handling the contestants on the event to creating and organizing the initiative of promoting the cause of using genuine parts over the fake parts, we did it all. The work was appreciated equally by the key auto enthusiasts to SABRE. Perfect Relations won SABRE 2014 for Auto Expo 2014, and digital got an honorary mention for the same. The same activities at a larger scale were repeated for 2016 with an addition of app development for the event and more on-ground activations at the expo.
