I am a strategic transformation leader and board-level contributor with over 30 years’ experience driving organisational performance, governance reform and cultural change across higher education, membership bodies and politically governed organisations. In my executive capacity, I serve as Director of Careers, Employability & Student Enterprise at the University of Southampton, leading one of the institution’s four strategic priorities. I have secured 100% budget growth, led large-scale restructuring, embedded data-led performance frameworks and delivered measurable improvement in graduate outcomes. My work includes digital and AI-enabled service transformation, international expansion in India, and the commercialisation of a sector-leading student pathway. My strategic focus is on embedding employability within the curriculum, expanding work experience opportunities. overseeing our new international employability provision, excellence in service delivery to students, employers and academics and on demonstrating the impact of our service. Our service goal is to make a substantial difference to the students and graduates of the University of Southampton, in preparing them to be confident career planners and to succeed in the graduate labour market.
