• single-handedly created a PDF Protection product whose aim was to tokenize part of the data to secure its access based on authorization rules. I started with a POC for this. In POC, I used many open source libraries e.g. pdfminer, pyPDF, and reportLab. During this phase, I had to make some changes in the pyPDF code to get some extra functionality. I also found a bug in the pdfminer library, which I reported to their team. I presented this solution to many stakeholders and also some customers to get approval for this solution. After completing POC, I assisted with the integration of this solution into the product and facilitated its field trial in a client setting. In this project, I learned about the complete lifecycle of the product from initial POC to final deployment and further maintenance phase.

• Where I used linear regressions to build various Hydrate Thermodynamics and Kinetic Dissociation charts for the Chemistry department of IIT Roorkee and learned about how the least square method works in detail. I also got introduced to Matplotlib and Plotly data visualization libraries. The knowledge I gained here opened a whole new world for me in the field of data science and persuaded me to choose Big Data as a field of work later in life.

• I got the chance to research and later present a paper named “smart ways to avoid railway accidents” at the Silicon Institute of Technology in Bhubaneswar. This paper was later published in The IUP Journal of Information Technology after due scrutiny. Working on this research paper was quite challenging for me because it needed expertise in areas in which I didn’t have much prior knowledge, but I gave my extra efforts to make sure that I present a quality paper.
