  • Following the publication of a comprehensive country report mapping Pakistan’s sustainable fashion ecosystem and the awarding of five grants to innovative projects advancing fashion sustainability, I curated the inaugural symposium marking the next phase of British Council's vision for Pakistan's unique role in advancing global sustainability practices both locally and globally, in collaboration with a global network of practitioners and institutions, including the UK, Nepal, Sri Lanka and beyond. Having delivered this in October 2025, the symposium aims to build on the momentum already generated, providing a platform to deepen dialogue, share best practice and further catalyse action within the sector.

  • Under BD25’s Heritage fund, Zain Ali will lead the design and curation of an exhibition, titled "Nisbet Road Tailor Shop," an immersive recreation of a mid-20th-century South Asian tailoring establishment, reflecting Bradford's rich textile heritage and the contributions of its South Asian immigrant community. The exhibition will pay homage to the immigrants who built Yorkshire’s textile industry and established tailoring businesses in Bradford, with a curatorial blend of heritage storytelling and original art and textile installations by the contributing artist.
