About

Cory Treffiletti is a successful marketer, author, and entrepreneur with a proven history leading digital marketing efforts dating back to 1994. Cory pioneered the “data-driven storyteller” approach that leverages data and insights around an audience. This model drives the development of high performing “stories" to deliver measurable business results. His approach stems from a “data in, value creation, data out” model first employed in 2008 and since refined to dramatic revenue impact. The strategy aligns closely with sales and ensures a direct line of feedback plus a dependable data infrastructure, that delivers effective transformation of the marketing discipline. Cory was most recently Global Head of Marketing for Cisco's Webex.com and led Demand Gen efforts for Cisco Collaboration following the acquisition of Voicea, where he was Chief Marketing Officer (acquired by Cisco in 2019). Cory was also previously the CMO for BlueKai. BlueKai was the original cloud-based marketing DMP which was acquired by Oracle in 2014, where he became VP/CMO of the Oracle Data Cloud. Before going in-house as a B2B marketer, Cory was an early driver of the digital consulting and agency world. He launched the strategy and incubation firm Catalyst SF and helped build and grow industry-leading agencies such as i-Traffic, Freestyle Interactive, and Carat. Cory’s thinking has been documented in a weekly column on digital marketing since 2000 for MediaPost's OnlineSPIN/Media Insider column as well as in a book called Internet Ad Pioneers (available on Amazon.com). Cory has served on a number of private and industry boards (DMA, ARF, more) as well as networking organizations. He continues to advise companies interested in data-driven storytelling and/or needs for digital transformation.
