• The responsibilities of this role is an amalgamation of both Head of QA, and Head of Platform Engineering for my clients.
• In this role, I worked for a global car rental enterprise, which was going through a large scale modernisation program through a period of 7 years. I owned the creation and execution of the quality engineering strategy for a 800+ IT organisation including end-to-end path to production strategy, tests architecture, platform capabilities, and CI/ CD following shift left principles.

• I was working as part of Thoughtworks' Chief AI Officer global leadership team in this role. I primarily was responsible for creating the AI strategy and driving the AI OKRs for Thoughtworks. I managed a cross-functional team of experts from different functions such as Data And AI service line, Marketing, Sales, etc., who own different key results. I focussed on creating a roadmap, establishing measurable milestones for the quarters, while orchestrating team cadences for successful execution and tracking progress. I siphoned dependencies between cross-functional teams and helped navigate conflicts of interests among the different functions. I established governance processes on Global AI OKRs and investments and reported to Thoughtworks executives.

• I primarily focussed on demand creation activities as the Market Quality principal. This includes creating proposals, responding to public RFPs, pre-sales workshops for clients, pitching new technologies to existing clients, and mainly influencing client leaders on engineering best practices. I worked for multiple sectors like finance, retail, transportation, etc., from the UK. I had the pleasure of successfully selling large multi-year engagements in this role.

• I authored O’Reilly’s Full Stack Testing book published in 2022 in English, Chinese and Polish. In this book, I have elaborated 10 different Agile testing skills required for web and mobile shift-left testing. The book is a step-by-step guide for creating functional and cross-functional test automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, security, performance, data, accessibility, chaos engineering and more. Further it elaborates steps to integrate them with CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback. The book also gives an overview of testing emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Blockchain, AR/VR and IoT applications.
• Dr. Rebecca Parsons, CTO of Thoughtworks had written the foreward for the book and Neal Ford, the software architect evangelist, had written praise quotes among other industry luminaries. The book also had been applauded with a sponsorship from Harness, the AI/ML CI/CD company.

• I have played the Head of QA role for Thoughtworks’ clients. In this role, I created custom test strategies for large complex delivery programs, planed the resources, timelines, budget, and managed the execution of the plan with both in-house and outsourced distributed teams. I designed custom test frameworks across functional and non functional testing like web, API, accessibility, security, performance, etc., and integrated with CI/CD to ensure quicker release cycles and receive fast feedback on bugs during development— the shift left testing technique.
• The role being a key leadership role in client organisations usually demands high collaboration with multiple business and technical stakeholders in order to get the test strategies implemented. I have setup appropriate quality governance methods to track and showcase the quality metrics to assure continuous progress and have successfully gained confidence with all stakeholders including CTOs, Heads of Tech & Architecture. I also believe in a culture a culture of continuous learning and sharing and have spearheaded the same spirit in my teams through structured community learning aside from active personal mentoring to achieve high quality outcomes.

• I was chosen to play the Global QA SME role for Thoughtworks in 2018-2020, a global leadership role, where I crafted the career development pathways for the QAs in the organisation alongside the skill development structure. This structure is what is used by the Thoughtworks’ talent organisation for staffing, setting individual performance goals and year-end reviews.

• I performed an office leadership role, the Engineering Director or the Office Technology Principal (OTP), for the Thoughtworks Chennai office in 2018-2021. In this role, I had cultivated several emerging tech communities (AI/ML, AR/VR, IoT among others) and successfully harnessed the learnings through thought leadership activities such as OSS, blogs and external community talks.

• I have been a hands-on technologist who create, maintain and own test automation suites. I also innovate new test frameworks when posed with challenging situations. I mentor other QAs on the team to deliver quality product. I am also well versed in non-functional test framework creation such as the performance tests frameworks, accessibility, data integrity, security and so on.
• The key responsibilities as a Lead QA I have taken on can be summarised as follows:
• 1. Lead the quality of a product end to end in a software development team.
• 2. Develop test strategies for new products and closely monitor the implementation at every minuscule level.
• 3. Develop test automation frameworks for different types of software including web-services, end-to-end system automation, web application automation, mobile products automation, etc.
• 4. Collaborate with product owners/clients on a regular basis to raise any quality related risks, requirement freezing, showcasing the finished product etc.
• 5. Guide the developer team closely to deliver quality products by suggesting different testing tools and shift left strategies.
• 6. Generating reports on software quality every sprint.
• 7. Managing multiple releases from quality perspective (Regression cycles, Defect tracking, Root cause analysis etc)
• 8. Mentoring new joinees with testing processes and tools.
