On the other side stands the Hammond-Chambers line, rooted in the highest levels of British legal and public service. My great-great-grandfather, Robert Sharp Borgnis Hammond-Chambers KC, served as King’s Counsel during the reign of Queen Victoria and moved within the intellectual and judicial circles of his time. The triple-barrelled surname itself is a reminder that this legacy was shaped not only by blood, but by guardianship, friendship and responsibility, values that remain central to how I lead today. Across generations, my family served the Crown through law, military command, architecture and education, from the Black Watch and the Royal Navy to the Royal Household and the courts of England.
