About

Lainey Feingold is an internationally recognized disability rights lawyer, author, and public speaker. She is a co-editor and author in the forthcoming Digital Accessibility Ethics: Disability Inclusion in All Things Tech - coming this Spring from Taylor & Francisco The second edition of her first book, Structured Negotiation: A Winning Alternative to Lawsuits, is available in accessible digital and print formats from Amazon and other online book sellers in both English and Spanish. In 2000 and 2014 she was selected as a California Lawyer Magazine Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award. Structured Negotiation is a collaborative dispute resolution process that happens without a lawsuit on file. It is also a set of useful strategies that can help advocates not involved with the legal system, and the method serves lawyers in a filed case searching for less conflict and fewer run-away costs. The Structured Negotiation strategies also offer tools to digital accessibility advocates committed to an inclusive digital world. Lainey and her clients and co-counsel have used Structured Negotiation for more than a quarter century to achieve far reaching results with some of the largest organizations in the United States to improve digital accessibility and advance disability rights. Among other things, Lainey has worked on web and mobile accessibility, talking prescription labels, and Talking ATMs and has negotiated agreements with Bank of America, Major League Baseball, CVS, the City and County of San Francisco, and dozens of other organizations all without lawsuits. She helped negotiate the first web accessibility agreement in the United States in 2000. More at http://LFLegal.com.
