In my current role with EY, my prime responsibility is to ensure smooth engagement operations and compliance throughout the engagement life cycle. This includes key processes like: Completing client acceptance procedures Conducting Anti-Money Laundering procedures on the engaging client(s) Assessing the independence restrictions and scope permissibility Liaison with various teams across geographies seeking consultations and approvals as a part of mandatory EY systems Maintain engagement economics hygiene by constantly monitoring budget vs actuals and performing ETCs in a timely manner to keep a check on the revenue impact. Keeping a track on the engagement milestones and assist the teams with billings and collection status (for client and inter-firm) Support the team in preparation of any contractual documents for the engagement like EL, DCL, novation letter, fee letter etc. Perform BRIDGE procedures to ensure compliance while onboarding any third parties Creating and updating the SOPs for consistency throughout the processes The above highlighted are major day-day tasks which I am responsible for and also have an experience of adapting to different policies which are applicable to different regions such as some policies might be applicable in APAC region but not mandatorily applicable in the EMEIA region. The scope of work further extends to several ad-hoc activities which are on recurring basis such as: Maintaining the staffing chart to include which team member is on leave or aligned to a live project Maintaining a live engagement tracker to show the current status of any ongoing projects Utilization monitoring to assess the trends in the team and individual Catering to any requests from Partners/Associate partners The above is a summary of tasks which are my responsibility and I am happy to discuss these further along with anything else that might need attention.
