I am a veterinarian and an immunologist with extensive experience in translational research. After my doctoral and post-doctoral training in the US, I returned to India and established the cellular and molecular immunology laboratory at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). My group at IIT Roorkee works on various aspects of Inflammation and cancer immunology. Primarily we look at multiple mechanisms driving the reprogramming of immune cells under pathological conditions, particularly the signaling events associated with cell-matrix interactions and tissue micro environment-induced modulations.
