About

W: www.jksl.com E: jk@sltd.co.uk T: 0161 723 2000 Japanese knotweed Solutions are the Number One service provider within the Invasive Weeds market; we provide identification and in-house eradication of non native species - all works covered by a ten year insurance backed warranty - unique to the market. Japanese knotweed is now identified as the single most invasive species in the UK - the plant is highlighted by the Environment Agency as having the most aggressive spread being present in every 10km sq of the UK. Japanese knotweed is capable of damaging hard surfaces and building foundations with its aggressive root system which penetrates up to 3 metres deep and 7 metres in all directions. Japanese knotweed does not spread by seed - but rather by propagules - which means that any part of the plant has the ability to re-grow - thus the plant is still mainly spread by cross contamination by human activity. It is our aim to raise public awareness regarding issues relating to non native species throughout the UK. To be seen as a trusted public figure - able to challenge current thinking with regards attitudes and strategies of management on invasive plants. Specialties: Japanese knotweed, himalayan balsam, giant hogweed, ragwort, crassula - and all plants covered under The Wildlife and Countryside Act
