I am an Architect, Urban Planner, and Educator with a deep conviction that architecture is not just about building spaces, but about shaping values, communities, and futures. After completing my Bachelor’s in Architecture from Madras University and Master’s in Urban Planning from the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, I began my professional journey with Oscar Concessao International (OCI Architects), Chennai, followed by Larsen & Toubro Limited (2007–2010)—experiences that strengthened my understanding of design, project management, and large-scale built environments. Over time, I discovered my true calling in academia and institution building—where I could blend creativity, culture, and purpose. As an educator, I am passionate about creating learning ecosystems that nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and human values. I strongly believe that architectural education must evolve beyond technical knowledge to help students find meaning, empathy, and relevance in what they create. My areas of interest include Traditional Knowledge Systems, Sustainable Planning, and Architectural Pedagogy. I am currently engaged in doctoral research on traditional settlements and their sustainable planning principles, exploring how indigenous wisdom can guide contemporary urbanism. Having travelled to London and Singapore on professional assignments, I value the global exposure that complements my deep-rooted appreciation for Indian cultural and architectural heritage. As an institution builder and leader, I take pride in fostering positive, collaborative environments where people feel inspired, valued, and empowered.
