• I joined Resonate as a senior developer and have grown into a Tech Lead role, taking on increasing responsibility across the stack and across the organisation's engineering strategy.
• What I've built :
• Resonate operates in a compliance-heavy, security-conscious industry. I've delivered production-grade work across a wide range of technologies:
• Java & Spring Boot — designed and built several complex microservices, including high-throughput data pipelines and intricate business logic services
• Integration — end-to-end integration work connecting internal systems and third-party platforms
• Angular — front-end development across multiple features and components
• Python — scripting, data processing, and tooling
• AWS — Glue jobs, cloud infrastructure, data workflows
• PostgreSQL & GIS — database design including geospatial data
• This breadth across backend, frontend, cloud, and data has given me a full picture of how Resonate's systems fit together — which shapes how I lead.
• AI adoption :
• I lead Resonate's AI adoption effort. Because we work in a security-conscious industry, deploying external AI models isn't straightforward. My focus is on how we can use open-weight models — models we run and control ourselves — to bring the productivity and capability benefits of AI without compromising our data boundaries.
• This is live, ongoing work: evaluating models, testing deployment approaches, and building the case internally for what AI-assisted development can look like in a regulated environment.
• How AI has changed my own work :
• Personally, I use Claude Code as a learning accelerator. In a role that spans Java, Angular, Python, AWS, and GIS — technologies that would each take months to master in isolation — AI has made it possible to move fluently across all of them. I can read an unfamiliar codebase, understand a new framework, or debug an edge case far faster than before. That speed compounds over time.
