I used to struggle with LinkedIn image ads. It was frustrating - no matter how polished the visual looked, the numbers were embarrassing with CTRs under 1%. I'm a copywriter of 5+ years so I thought I knew what I was doing. I spent hours writing and editing the ads. Then I opened up the LinkedIn campaign dashboard and saw that they barely got clicks. 😬 I realized the problem was that my ads are just big ol' sales pitches. No-one opens up the LinkedIn app to read an ad. So I shifted my strategy - now I create ads that don't look like ads. Specifically, I write emotional storytelling ads that cover topics like: - Founder's origin story - Customer case studies - Relatable memes The click-through rate for these ads can be as high as 6%. Turns out people like to read juicy stuff on this app!
